Easy Sesame Noodles

These easy sesame noodles come together in 10 minutes and they’re the perfect side to any grilled meat. Hot noodles soaked in an easy sesame oil, soy sauce, & rice wine vinegar dressing. These are even better cold the next day!

Don’t let the picture fool you. These noodles really are so delicious and so easy! I’ve made these a few times and each time I try to photograph them for the blog but the pictures never turn out. I mean, how do you make plain noodles with a sauce (that you can’t see) look appetizing?!

Anyways, you have got to try these. You make an easy sauce and then you put the hot cooked noodles into the sauce, mix it around, and serve! I actually prefer these cold. Which is why I love making them because then the next day I can have the cold leftovers for lunch 🙂

These easy sesame noodles go really well with any type of grilled meat. In our house we love the thai/asian flavors. Like curry powder, sesame oil, rice wine vinegar, coconut milk…… so I usually make a marinade with those ingredients and then serve the grilled chicken with these noodles. So yummy!

Easy Sesame Noodles

If you want more liquid to your noodles then do not use the entire box of pasta noodles. Use about 3/4 of the box. I prefer the entire box of 16 oz spaghetti noodles. The noodles soak up all the sauce so you get lots of flavor without a liquid, runny sauce. It's more of a flavorful dry noodle.

Ingredients

  • 1 box (16 oz) thin spaghetti noodles
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce {not low-sodium}
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely minced {or use garlic press}
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons hot water
  • small bunch green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook thin spaghetti noodles according to package directions. Remember to salt the water!
  2. While pasta is mixing combine the soy sauce, granulated sugar, minced garlic, rice vinegar, sesame oil, olive oil, hot water, and half of the chopped green onions. Mix together with a fork or a whisk.
  3. Drain the noodles when they are done cooking. Pour the noodles into the sauce and mix together until all noodles are coated.
  4. Place noodles in serving dish and garnish with the the remaining chopped green onions.
