I have been soooooo excited to share this monster cookie dough cheeseball dip with you all. Actually I should say re-share this recipe with you all. I originally posted this back in May 2015! I had only been blogging for a month at that point so I was new to taking pictures. This monster cookie dough cheeseball dip has become a staple at our house. We make it for football games (shape it into a football shape; oval), parties, gatherings, and just for a sweet weekend treat. My kids L.O.V.E this stuff. Well, they mainly like eating the m&m’s off the top and then taking a spoon and eating the cookie dough. Our cheeseball usually ends up a mess and not much of a “ball” after my kids are done with it.
My favorite way to eat this is with pretzles. I am a sucker for that sweet n’ salty combo. It’s also really good with Nilla Wafers, Chips Ahoy mini cookies, and Nutter Butter minis. My tip to get lots of dipping options is to buy the Go-Paks of the Nilla Wafers, Chips Ahoy cookies, and Nutter Butters. They’re only $1 and it allows you to have lots of fun dip options for cheap.
Of course, don’t forget the pretzels. I prefer the mini twists for this dip.
If you don’t feel like shaping it into a ball and pressing m&m’s on it, then go ahead and combine the mini m&m’s into the cookie dough and then eat! Either way you make it I can promise it will be delish.
- 1/4 cup 4 tablespoons butter, softened
- 4 oz cream cheese softened
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup quick oats
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup mini m&m's
In the bowl of a stand mixer, or use a hand-held blender, combine the butter, cream cheese, and peanut butter. Cream together until light in color and combined.
Add the vanilla extract and brown sugar. Blend together.
Add the powdered sugar and quick oats. Blend together.
Add the mini chocolate chips and mini m&m's. Blend together just until incorporated.
Use a spatula or your hands and form it into a ball. The dough is not sticky and will form easily. Place the cheeseball on the serving plate and gently press the mini m&m's into it.
Cover with plastic wrap and let refrigerate for 1-2 hours. You can also serve it right away too.
Serve with your favorite dippers; pretzels, nutter butter cookies, nilla wafers, etc.
If you refrigerate this, take it out about 10 minutes before you serve it so the dip can warm up a bit and be easier to dip.
