Tender & full of flavor this slow cooker pot roast is comfort food at it’s finest. You only need 4 ingredients for the best pot roast ever. Fancy enough for company and easy enough for a weeknight dinner.
I post a lot of chicken recipe on the blog. It’s one of the only meats that I am ok eating. But, my husband and son LOVE meat. Like so much so that my 7 year old can eat a double bacon cheeseburger in just minutes 🙂
I am trying more lately to cook different type of meats. Starting with this 4 ingredient slow cooker pot roast.
There is something so comforting about walking into your house after a long day and smelling a roast in the slow cooker. I put this in the slow cooker before we left for church on Sunday morning and when we walked in afterwards the smell was so amazing. Like it instantly made me hungry the second I smelled it.
And this pot roast could not be easier to prepare. Mix up 3 packets of seasonings with some water and pour over the roast. Let it cook all day.
The key to a super tender, fall apart pot roast is to cook it for a long time. Be sure and allow for at least 10 hours. It is fall apart tender and so juicy and flavorful. Serve it over some cream cheese mashed potatoes and you’ll be in heaven.
I hope you love this one. If you’re looking for something that’s fancy enough for company but yet simple enough for a weeknight meal, then give this slow cooker pot roast a try.
