Do you need a fun, festive, and super easy treat for Valentine’s Day? Try Cupid’s version of a root beer float! Perfectly pink for the holiday and so yummy!
I am sort of laughing at myself right now for even posting this. As we speak, the East Coast (I’m in Maryland) is under a severe blizzard warning and they say we should expect 24″-30″ of snow this weekend! I mean ice cream is the very last think I would ever want to eat right now. Bring on the stews, chili, comfort food, and hot chocolate.
But, we do have Valentine’s Day coming up shortly and I have a few posts that I am so excited to share!
I love love love Holidays. It’s so fun to make themed type food for the different Holidays and I am all about going with the colors of that particular Holiday also. Like these Cupid Floats. It’s the perfect pink color for Valentine’s Day and would make a great kid-friendly dessert.
You really can’t get much easier than strawberry soda + vanilla ice cream! I can’t even hardly call that a recipe! If you want it extra strawberry-ish, try using some strawberry ice cream instead.
If you need me I will wrapped up on the couch in all the blankets we own drinking hot cocoa all weekend! —-> I wish that were true. In reality, I will be catching up on laundry and tending to all the demands my kids make and attempting to peel them away from the t.v! Which translates to unplugging the t.v 🙂
- 1 2-liter bottle strawberry soda (like Fanta or Crush)
- 1 container vanilla ice cream
- Put 2-3 scoops of vanilla ice cream in cup (more or less depending on size of cup) and pour the soda on top.
Have a great day everyone! If you’re on the East Coast like me, stay safe and play in the snow 🙂
