Menu Plan Monday is a brand-new series on Together as Family that brings you delicious and family-approved dinner ideas for the week. Each menu includes six dinners plus one tasty dessert to enjoy!

A family menu plan with six dinners and one dessert.

We’ve got our usual busy week coming up. Which is why I love menu planning because it takes the stress out of ‘what’s for dinner’ each night. I always recommend that you decide what you want to make for the week, print out the recipe so it’s ready to go, and either make a grocery list OR schedule a grocery pick-up or delivery.

We get take-out at least once per week (but more times than not, it’s twice per week) because we’re normally not all together for dinner for 4 nights of the week. My daughter is on a swim team that is about 30 minutes away from where we live, so her and I grab something on the way home while my husband and the other kids get free reign on what to eat for dinner. And I think that they actually kind of like that.

My point is, as kids get older and activities change, your family dinner table might start to look a little different and that’s ok. Starting in a few months, my son starts marching band (he’s entering 9th grade in the Fall so it’s all the pre stuff) and things are about to get more chaotic. Even with everything going on, you can still eat McDonalds together or eat frozen pizza together, or have pizza delivered. Absolutely no reason to feel bad about that. My family’s places of choice when we do take-out is Jersey Mike’s, Chick Fil A, Tapa Sushi, a local pizza place called Village Pizza, and Culver’s (literally the best butter burger cheeseburgers EVER!)

I hope you all have an extra happy and special week, and that you find something each day that makes you smile. From my family’s kitchen to yours – Jessica ❤️

MONDAY

EASY SLOW COOKER HAWAIIAN PORK CHOPS

It’s a set-it-and-forget-it slow cooker dinner that couldn’t be easier to make! I serve it alongside some cooked white rice for an easy and complete meal.

TUESDAY

GROUND BEEF SHEET PAN QUESADILLAS

The same crispy crunch that you love about traditional quesadillas, but made in a big batch on a sheet pan! These are so beefy, cheesy, and just delicious. My family gobbles them up so quick. Serve with some salsa, guacamole, and sour cream.

WEDNESDAY

CRISPY CHICKEN CAESAR WRAPS

I always double this recipe because my family LOVES these easy, 3 ingredient wraps. They use frozen crispy chicken chunks + a ready-to-use Caesar salad kit for ultimate easy prep. You’ll be shocked at how easy and yummy these wraps are.

THURSDAY

LIPTON ONION SOUP MEATLOAF

This has quickly become one of the most popular recipes I’ve ever posted – and most highly reviewed with 5 star ratings. The secret is a packet of Lipton onion soup seasoning mix. So much flavor. I love serving meatloaf with mashed potatoes – buy some from the store or Costco sells really yummy prepared mashed potatoes or make my Cream Cheese Mashed Potatoes.

FRIDAY

CROCKPOT SOUTHWEST CHICKEN BURRITO BOWLS

Another dump & go slow cooker dinner for the week – you can never have to many of these gems. Serve over some Cilantro Lime Rice or white rice, and then top with all your favorite burrito bowl toppings.

SATURDAY

Kitchen’s Closed! Go do something fun with the family and get your favorite take-out or fast food 😊 Or make a frozen pizza, throw some Dino nuggets into the air fryer (my kids still love those!), or buy a frozen meal when you grocery shop and cook that up tonight.

SUNDAY

BUTTERMILK PANCAKES W/ AMAZING BUTTERMILK SYRUP

We like to make pancakes for Sunday dinner most of the time – Sunday’s are always our lazy days so breakfast for dinner only seems like the perfect choice. I serve these pancakes alongside some scrambled eggs and bacon.

DESSERT OF THE WEEK

EASY HONEY BUN CAKE

One of our faves! So easy to make with a cake mix and tastes just like the iconic Little Debbie Honey Bun snack cakes.
