Don’t let this snickers peanut butter oatmeal cookie dough dip fool you. It. Is. So. Easy! Trust me, I don’t have the time or energy to spend hours on some complicated recipe. I mean let me set the scene here. As I was making this my two year old was eating the leftover Snickers Peanut Butter candy bars and throwing chocolate sprinkles all over the kitchen. Luckily, this comes together super quick so she did not have much time to completely destroy things πŸ™‚

MY LATEST VIDEOS

I had to share this recipe today because it’s the 1st football game of the season for my team. I graduated from BYU and grew up watching them and hearing about them, so naturally they are my team and I may be slightly obsessed with them πŸ™‚ GO COUGARS!!

Football means family to me. Everyone gathering around to have a good time, spend time with each other, and eat some good food. Growing up, my dad’s job involved a lot of Saturdays being spent at the University football game and me and my siblings would always be able to come to the games. I have so many memories of going to football games on the weekend and eating lots of food.Β

You guys! I seriously cannot describe how amazing this is. Let’s just say that I am glad I am experiencing a sweets aversion this pregnancy because otherwise I seriously, no joke, would have eaten the whole thing.

If you can’t find the Snickers Peanut Butter candy bars then use regular Snickers. Sometimes they have them at the checkout area of the grocery stores, or usually I have to go to the candy aisle with the bagged candy to find them.Β

My favorite thing to serve this with is pretzels. The football dip is sweet and when you pair that with the salty pretzel it’s like the perfect bite.

Enjoy your football games today. I’ve dressed all my kids in BYU gear and we are ready to watch ours. Sadly, I won’t be in any team gear because none of the shirts I have fit my preggo belly πŸ™‚Β

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons (1/2 a stick) butter, softened
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup quick oats [1-minute]
  • 1 cup crushed Snickers Peanut Butter candy bars
  • 1/4 cup crushed unsalted peanuts
  • 1/2 cup chocolate sprinkles
  • White frosting gel

Instructions

  • Combine butter, cream cheese, and peanut butter into a mixing bowl or bowl of a stand mixer. Beat until creamy and combined.
  • Add in vanilla and brown sugar. Blend together.
  • Add in powdered sugar. Blend together until creamy and combined. It will be dry at first but keep blending until it is creamy comes together.
  • Mix in the oats and crushed candy bars with a wooden spoon.
  • On a counter top lay two squares of plastic wrap to make a + sign (one piece vertical, other piece horizontal). Place the cookie dough in the center. Form into a football shape.
  • Mix crushed peanuts and chocolate sprinkles in a bowl and pour over the football shaped dough. Spread them around and pat them into the football shape with your hands. You can also use the sides of the plastic wrap to get the mixture on the sides of the football.
  • Pick up the plastic wrap (with football dough inside) and place on a plate. Put the plate in the fridge and refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
  • Take out of fridge and gently pick up the football (it will be firm enough from the fridge time) and place on your serving plate.
  • Use the white frosting gel (found by candles and sprinkles of the baking aisle) to make the football laces in the middle and sides.
  • Serve with pretzels. Refrigerate leftovers.

Notes

You can use all chocolate sprinkles for the outside football coating if you want. The crushed peanuts compliment the Snickers Peanut Butter candy bars really well.

It's easier to coat the "football" in the sprinkle/peanut mixture before refrigerating because the dough is still slightly wet and sticky and the coating adheres better.
