Top 10 of 2015

Share all the delicious recipes!

I have to say that this past year has been really fun for me. I started this blog in April and I never thought that it would be something that I truly enjoy doing and something that I have a passion for. I love reading comments that readers leave on the blog, I love answering questions and trying my best to help, I love posting tried and true family recipes that I hope everyone loves, but most of all I love the support that I get from each of YOU. The ‘likes’ on Facebook, the sharing of Facebook posts, pinning my pictures to Pinterest. I truly appreciate all of it πŸ™‚ So, THANK YOU!

I thought it would be fun to go back and visit the top 10/most viewed posts of 2015. Here we go!

Creamy Beef Noodle Bake

This one is no surprise to me. Have you tried it yet? It is by far the recipe that I make the most for dinner. So easy & simple, perfect for a busy weekday dinner. It’s been pinned over 150,000 times!!

NO FLOUR monster cookie bars | makes an entire cookie sheet, perfect for after school snack and they freeze well! www.togetherasfamily.com

There are no words for these. These are popular for good reason, they are so so so yummy! I’ve made them several times since posting and they remain our favorite snack here at the house. Change up the m&m’s for different Holidays. They are so delicious, addicting (try to just eat 1 square), and for those that cannot eat flour, these are a yummy treat. When I first posted these on Facebook they went VIRAL —> thank you to all the shares!

Out of all the recipes on this blog this one is the most time consuming one. I always try to post really easy, simple, delicious recipes so you know when I post one that is a bit more time intensive, you know it will be yumm-o! These are no exception. A flavorful, creamy, slightly spicy homemade enchilada sauce smothered over a chicken enchilada.

SLOW COOKER GLAZED CARROTS- only a few ingredients and a few hours in the crock pot is all it takes for an amazing side dish! www.togetherasfamily.com

If you need an easy vegetable side dish that even your kids will eat with no problems, then these slow cooker sweet glazed carrots are for you. They are so soft, tender, sweet, and super flavorful. Just dump, set, and forget about them in the crock pot until it’s dinnertime πŸ™‚

Β Monster Cookie Dough Dip- www.togetherasfamily.com

This was one of my very favorites this year. I love ‘monster cookie’ anything so it was no surprise that I could have eaten this entire thing by myself in one sitting πŸ™‚ I didn’t but I could have! Serve with some salty, crunchy pretzels and you have the perfect snack, dessert, appetizer…. whatever you want to call it. Another fun thing: shape the “cheeseball” into the shape of a football and then cover with the mini m&m’s. You have a super cute dessert dip for the Superbowl or any game day.

Β The best DIY stain remover- this stuff really works, even gets out the gross baby stains! www.togetherasfamily.com

I have saved so much money because of this stain remover. I buy blue dawn dish soap and hydrogen peroxide in bulk from Costco just for this miracle solution πŸ™‚ I mix up several batches of this weekly when I do laundry. In fact, I just did one this morning. One tip: only mix up what you need, otherwise the color will go from blue to clear and it will not be as effective. So, you could not mix up a batch one day and then save it for the next day when you do more laundry.

Homemade Spaghetti Meat Sauce- www.togetherasfamily.com

A little bit more work than opening a jar of pasta sauce but it is so worth it. Only a few minutes of prep and dumping ingredients and then you let it simmer away and do all the work. Spaghetti is one of my kids favorite foods and they beg for this stuff and gobble it up with no complaints.

Creamy Chicken & Wild Rice Soup- cooks in the slow cooker all day and it's so creamy and flavorful! www.togetherasfamily.com

This. Stuff. Is. Good.

I don’t know what else to say about it besides you should definitely make this. It is so warm, creamy, full of veggies, flavorful, and just good ol’ comfort food for these cold winter days.

SNOW BALL SUGAR COOKIES | soft, thick, no roll sugar cookies! www.togetherasfamily.com

These ones surprised me. Usually the top posts have high repins on Pinterest and lots of traffic from Facebook. These had neither, but yet they were the #9 most viewed post. Don’t get me wrong, they are crazy delicious and so much easier than rolling and cutting shapes. Plus, change up the frosting color and sprinkles for different Holidays or events!

TEXAS TACO CHILI | www.togetherasfamily.com

Only 6 ingredients + toppings (don’t leave them off) is all you need for a delicious twist on the classic chili. We love anything tex mex style at our house so this one is always a hit.

Those were the most popular recipes with you, the readers. I have to say that you guys do a pretty good job! I was surprised that there was not more dessert/sweet recipes in the top 10. So I guess that means you all love the dinner recipes, right?!
