BUTTERMILK WAFFLES

Soft, buttery, thick waffles made amazing with melted butter + buttermilk. Waffles are a breakfast classic and so fun to serve with all the toppings like syrup, buttermilk syrup, fresh fruits, and whipped cream.

– all-purpose flour – granulated sugar – baking powder – salt – buttermilk – butter – eggs – vanilla extract

Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, add the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir with a whisk. Make a well in the center.

Into the well in the center, add the buttermilk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.

Spray the waffle iron with cooking spray and dump 1/2 cup of waffle batter onto it.

Cook to desired crispness level.

Serve waffles hot with butter, syrup of choice, fresh fruit, and whipped cream.

Keep Waffles Warmed : If you're making waffles for a crowd, or a large family, heat the oven to 200 degrees and stick a metal cooling rack inside the oven.

Buttermilk : I know there are buttermilk substitutions out there but for some reason these waffles turn out better when real buttermilk is used.

Buttermilk Waffles are a breakfast classic!
