  • Grab a cocktail skewer and layer in this order - black olive, basil leaf, cherry tomato, Italian hard salami (fold in half or quarters as needed), mozzarella ball, and a green olive.

Notes

Salami Tip : For the best fresh flavor go to the meat deli counter and ask for some fresh sliced salami. You need 50 slices for the 50 mini skewers. The fresh deli stuff tastes so much better than the packaged salami.
Substitutions & Variation Ideas
    • Use mozzarella cubes instead of mozzarella balls. If using cubes, cut the cubes of cheese from a block of mozzarella cheese into small squares.
    • Substitute prosciutto or other Italian meats instead of the salami.
    • Omit the meat entirely from the antipasto skewers for a vegetarian option.
    • Sprinkle on some Italian seasoning over the skewer wreath for added flavor. You can also brush the skewers lightly with olive oil and then sprinkle on some Italian seasoning.
