Easy Cherry Crisp

Ingredients

Cherry Mixture

  • 2 cans (21 oz each) cherry pie filling
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Crisp Topping

  • 1 cup whole old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter melted

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350℉. Spray a 9x13 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, add the two cans of cherry pie filling, lemon juice, and the ground cinnamon. Stir until well combined. Spread the cherry mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.

  • In a separate medium bowl, mix together the old-fashioned oats, flour, light brown sugar, pecans, sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt until thoroughly combined.
    Add in the melted butter and stir until the mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle the buttery oat mixture over top the cherry filling inside the baking dish.

  • Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbly. Remove the pan from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. 
  • Serve the cherry crisp warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
