Ingredients

  • 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
  • 1 pouch (1 lb 1.5 oz) double chocolate chunk cookie mix
  • 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter, melted

Instructions

  • Heat ovent to 350 degrees. Spray a 9x9 baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Dump the pie filling into the baking dish and spread out evenly. Sprinkle the dry cookie mix over top and spread out evenly. Pour the melted over the top, making sure to get everything moistened with the melted butter.
  • Cook for 30 minutes or until cookie cobbler topping is cooked through. Or cook less time for a gooey cobbler. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

I would highly suggest using slated butter in this recipe!

When you are drizzling the melted butter over the cookie mix, take care to moisten all the cookie mix with the butter. If you are worried about dry cookie mix at the end of the cook time, you can also combine the cookie mix + melted butter into a bowl and mix together, and then sprinkle that over top the pie filling. The texture is a bit different doing it this way but it's still the same "cobbler concept".
