Notes
Slow Cooker : Brown ground turkey with the olive oil, onion, bell pepper, and salt as called for in the recipe. Drain the excess grease/liquid before adding it into the slow cooker. Add the remaining ingredients and stir together. Cook on LOW heat for 6-7 hours. How to make it spicy? The recipe as is, is perfect for kids even. But if you want it spicy then there are a few things you can do. Add some cayenne pepper or additional chili powder. Add a can of diced green chilies. Use a can of hot chili beans (pinto beans in a hot chili sauce). You could also top the servings with jalapeño peppers. Another option is to use a can of Rotel in place of the diced tomatoes. Serving Size : Recipe makes enough for 8 servings. Each serving is 1 cup. Nutrition information does not include any toppings.
