BBQ Beef Tacos

You will love this flavorful twist to classic tacos with this easy, 20 minute BBQ Beef Tacos recipe! Ground beef simmers with dried seasonings, bbq sauce, corn, and baked beans for that classic sweet & smokey barbecue flavor. Serve inside crunchy corn taco shells and top with your favorite toppings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 can (15 oz) corn drained well
  • 1 can (16 oz) original baked beans do not drain
  • 1/3 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder

Serving

  • corn taco shells or flour tortillas
  • shredded cheese
  • chopped tomatoes or pico de gallo
  • sour cream, green onion, cilantro, guacamole, etc

Instructions

  • In a large skillet pan, over medium-high heat, cook and crumble the ground beef until no longer pink. Drain any excess grease/moisture.
  • Add in the remaining ingredients and stir together. Bring to a low boil and then reduce heat to medium-low and let it simmer for about 15 minutes, or until thickened.
  • Serve with corn taco shells and taco toppings of your choice.

Notes

BBQ Sauce : Make sure you use a bbq sauce that you love the flavor of. I use Kinder's brand or Sweet Baby Ray's. I prefer using original bbq sauce but you can use the flavored ones if wanted (spicy, brown sugar, honey, etc).
Baked Beans : Do not drain these! I recommend using the original baked beans and not using a flavored baked bean in this recipe. 
Nutrition Information : This recipe makes enough for 10 tacos. The nutrition information listed is for one taco which is the bbq beef mixture + a corn taco shell. It does not include the toppings.
