This Cottage Cheese Ranch Dressing is only 2 simple ingredients, low in carbs, and high in protein! Blending up cottage cheese provides a rich, thick, and creamy base which makes it perfect for making a healthier ranch dressing for dipping or use it for a salad dressing.
Add the cottage cheese and ranch seasoning mix (dry) into a blender or food processor. Blend on high until the cottage cheese is completely smooth and creamy.
Pour the dressing into an airtight container with a lid and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to 1 hour before serving. This allows time for the dressing to chill and the flavors to develop. * Store leftovers in the fridge. Leftovers will thicken so stir in a splash of milk or water to thin them out.

Notes
Dressing Too Thick? Want it Pourable? Thick For a Dip?If the ranch dressing is too thick it's more than likely because you used a full-fat 4% cottage cheese (which is fine) but the higher fat cottage cheese will yield a thicker dressing. If it's too thick, simply stir in a splash of milk or water. Start with 1 teaspoon at a time and add from there as needed. The longer the dressing sits in the fridge, the thicker it will become. So expect the leftovers to naturally thicken as it sits in the fridge. To solve this problem, make sure you use the lower fat cottage cheese when making this dressing and be sure to stir in a splash of milk or water before serving. For a thicker dip that is great for veggie sticks and chips, do not add any additional water and use the higher-fat 4% cottage cheese (if wanted) to create a thicker ranch dip.Fridge Time TipsFor the best taste and chilled temperature, make sure to allow time for the dressing to refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving it. It can be in the fridge longer but it will thicken the longer it's in the fridge, so add a splash of milk or water as needed. I have found that 30 minutes to 1 hour is the perfect time to allow the flavors to blend together before serving and it chills the dressing.
