In a large bowl using an electric hand mixer, or use the bowl of stand mixer with the paddle attachment, beat the cream cheese until smooth and creamy.

Add in the marshmallow creme and beat until well combined and fluffy.
1 jar (7 oz) marshmallow creme
Add in the dry hot cocoa mix, a little bit at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition to ensure it's evenly distributed and dissolves/blends in well.

Add the Cool Whip and mix on low speed just until incorporated and the dip is lighter in color, fluffy, and airy. Be careful to not overmix! You want to keep the dip nice and fluffy, so just mix until it's incorporated.

Cover the bowl with a lid or plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving (or up to 4-6 hours). *If refrigerating for longer than 30 minutes, you'll want to set the dip out at room temperature for about 10 minutes prior to serving, so it can soften slightly. If you prefer a softer, silkier dip then skip the 30 minute refrigeration time. Transfer the hot chocolate dip to a serving bowl. Garnish the dip with some Christmas mini m&m's and mini marshmallows for a fun and festive look.
