Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray a 9x13 casserole pan, or a lasagna pan, with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.
In a large skillet, over medium-high heat, cook and crumble the ground beef, ground sausage, and kosher salt until the ground meat is browned. Drain or soak up the excess grease from the skillet.
1 pound ground beef, 1 pound ground sausage, ½ teaspoon kosher salt
Stir the marinara sauce into the ground meat mixture until well combined. Let it simmer, on medium-low heat for about 5 minutes, while you prepare the rest.
1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
In a mixing bowl, add the ricotta cheese, parmesan cheese, egg, and Italian seasoning. Stir until well combined.
1 container (15 oz) ricotta cheese, ½ cup grated parmesan cheese, 1 large egg, 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- Spread 1/2 cup of the meat sauce into the bottom of the prepared casserole dish.- Layer half of the frozen ravioli over the meat sauce. - Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese over the ravioli.- Spoon all of the ricotta cheese mixture over top the mozzarella cheese, and spread into an even layer.* The raviolis can be slightly overlapping so that way you can get more ravioli in the lasagna layers. You won't end up using all of the ravioli in the bag. 1 bag (48 oz) frozen ravioli, 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Repeat the layers with the remaining meat sauce, remaining frozen ravioli, and finish it off with the remaining shredded mozzarella cheese.
Cover the pan with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
Remove the foil and continue baking for another 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and lightly golden brown.
Let the casserole rest for about 5-10 minutes before serving it warm. Enjoy!
