In a skillet pan, with high sides and a lid, cook and crumble the ground beef, onion, and salt. Once beef is no longer pink drain the excess grease/liquid.
Add beef broth, teriyaki sauce, rice, red bell pepper, broccoli, and garlic. Stir to combine everything.
Bring to a boil. Once boiling, cover with lid, and reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer for 20-25 minutes or until no liquid remains. *Mine only takes 20 minutes to cook
Stir it together and serve! Garnish with green onions, sesame seeds, or some spicy mayo (if wanted).
Notes
Teriyaki Sauce : Make sure you are using the thick, dark colored teriyaki glaze and NOT the teriyaki marinade that is more of a thin sauce consistency. Jasmine Rice : I have only ever made this recipe with Jasmine rice, so if you use anything else I can't guarantee the results. You want to use dry, uncooked rice. I do not wash mine before. Beef Broth : Recipe has been tested and made with full salt beef broth. If you use the reduced sodium beef broth than you may want to add 1/2 teaspoon salt in with the beef broth and teriyaki sauce mixture. If wanted.
