Ingredients

  • 1 box (18 oz) brownie mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) salted butter melted
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 cups chopped Snickers
  • 1/3 cup caramel bits

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a 9x9-inch baking dish with parchment paper or spray well with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, add the brownie mix, eggs, melted butter, and milk. Use an electric mixer to beat on medium speed until it's smooth, thick, and well combined.
1 box (18 oz) brownie mix, 2 large eggs, 1/2 cup (1 stick) salted butter, 1/4 cup milk
  • Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan and smooth it out evenly.
  • Sprinkle the chopped Snickers over top the brownie batter layer.
    2 cups chopped Snickers
  • Scoop the remaining brownie batter over top the snickers and even out the top of the brownies.
  • Sprinkle the caramel bits on top.
    1/3 cup caramel bits
  • Bake for 40-43 minutes or until cooked through.
*A toothpick poked into the middle will come back gooey (caramel and Snickers bars) but it should not come back with wet, raw chocolate brownie batter on it.
  • Allow the brownies to cool in the warm pan for at least 20-30 minutes before cutting into squares. These are delicious eaten warm or at room temperature once they're completely cooled.
*Optional Step : Melt an additional 1/2 cup caramel bits and drizzle over top the brownies.

Notes

Butter : Unsalted butter can be used if that's what you prefer baking with.
Milk : I use whole milk when a baking recipe calls for milk. Any milk can be used, but I would recommend sticking with a milk that has some fat in it (2% or whole milk).
Tip : For the second brownie layer on top of the Snickers pieces, drop spoonfuls of the dough over top, this way it will be easier to spread it out in an even layer to cover the Snickers chunks.
