Skillet Lasagna

one Pan Recipe

Skillet Lasagna is a simple 7 ingredient dinner idea!

1 pound mild Italian sausage 1 tablespoon minced garlic 1 jar tomato basil garlic pasta sauce 2½ cups vegetable broth 1/2 package lasagna noodles  3/4 cup ricotta cheese 1 log fresh mozzarella cheese fresh chopped basil

Cook and crumble the ground sausage and minced garlic in a large skillet pan, over medium-high heat, until the sausage is no longer pink. Drain the excess grease from the skillet pan.

Stir in the jar of pasta sauce and vegetable broth and let it come to a boil.

Once boiling, add the broken lasagna noodles into the skillet pan. Stir gently to make sure all the noodles are covered in sauce.

Cover the skillet pan with a lid and reduce the heat to medium-low. Let cook for 20-25 minutes or until the noodles are cooked to al dente, or softer depending on preference.

Once the noodles are cooked to your preference and most the broth is absorbed, stir in the ricotta cheese until combined.

Lay the mozzarella cheese slices over top and cover the pan with the lid. Turn off the heat and allow the pan to sit for 5 minutes so the cheese melts and softens, and the sauce can thicken.

Top with fresh chopped basil and serve. Enjoy!
