APPLE CIDER COOKIES

Apple Cider Cookies are easy to make with a perfect blend of autumn-inspired spices and a hint of tangy apple cider flavor.

1/2 cup granulated sugar ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon ½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

1 bag sugar cookie mix 1 packet apple cider mix  (1 tsp needed) ½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice 1 large egg 3/4 cup full-fat sour cream 1/2 cup (1 stick) salted butter

1 cup powdered sugar 3/4 cup hot water Remaining apple cider mix from the packet

Apple Cider Glaze

Stir together the sugar, cinnamon, and pumpkin pie spice in a small bowl with a fork. Set aside.

In a medium mixing bowl using an electric hand mixer, or use a stand mixer with the whisk attachment, combine the sugar cookie mix, 1 teaspoon of the apple cider mix, and pumpkin pie spice.

Add in the egg, softened butter, and sour cream. Beat until combined and creamy, and the dough is soft.

Scoop the dough out onto the prepared cookie sheet, using a medium cookie scoop.

Use a spoon to generously sprinkle some of the cinnamon & sugar topping over the top of each cookie scoop.

Cook for 9-12 minutes or until the edges are set and the tops are golden brown.

While the cookies are cooling, pour the hot water and the remaining apple cider mix into a small bowl and stir together with a fork until dissolved.

Mix the powdered sugar and 2-3 tablespoons of the apple cider until it creates a shiny glaze

Use a fork to drizzle the apple cider glaze over the top of each cookie. Eat warm or cool to room temperature before eating.
