Easy Crockpot Candy For Easter

Have you ever made candy in your crockpot? It couldn’t be easier to make with only 4 ingredients and a cook time of only 1.5 hours. It’s a dump & go crockpot dessert recipe that is so festive to make for the Easter Holiday.

Crockpot candy usually consists of melted chocolate (vanilla almond bark in this recipe) mixed with some sort of nut. We’re using honey roasted peanuts which gives a slight sweetness to the candy rather than all salty crunch flavor.

Decorate the candies with sprinkles and pretty pastel m&m’s for a colorful sweet treat that your kids could probably make themselves 😊

Ingredients Needed

  • Vanilla Flavored Almond Bark – You need two packages of almond bark for this candy recipe. It comes in a big bar with perforated pieces (like a candy bar) so you will need to break it up before adding it into the crockpot. I find it easiest to use a butter knife and wedge it in-between the pieces to break them apart.
  • Honey Roasted Peanuts
  • Pastel Easter Mix M&M’s
  • Easter Sprinkles – Use any sprinkle mix you love. You can also use 2-3 different sprinkles for a fun look. The sprinkles are just for a fun garnish on top of the Easter candy, and can easily be left off if wanted.

Recipe Tips

Here are a few of my helpful tips so that you can have success recreating this recipe in your own kitchen ♥

  • Scooping Tip : Once you stir in the 1 cup of m&m’s, into the warmed melted chocolate peanut mixture, they will melt fairly quickly so its’ important to work quickly to scoop the candy onto the parchment paper. Have your parchment paper ready to go, either on the countertop or line a cookie sheet with it, and use a 3 tablespoon cookie scoop in order to speed up the process of scooping.
  • Use a Cookie Scoop : For best results, use a 3 tablespoon cookie scoop for this recipe. If you don’t have one, or don’t want to buy one, use a 1/4 measuring cup and just don’t fill it all the way but rather eyeball it. A 1/4 cup measuring cup is 4 tablespoons, so filling a little lower from the top will be about 3 tablespoons.

Notes

Crockpot Size : It's best to use a smaller crockpot (5 QT or 6 QT) for this recipe. If you are using a larger crockpot, make a note that the cook time will probably be slightly less just because it's bigger and there is more surface area for the candy to go and heat up. I have linked to the 6 QT crockpot  that I own and love. I also prefer using a crockpot that has a countdown timer on it, rather than just a dial with the preset times on it, because this candy only needs a 1 hour cook time + 30 minute cook time.
Liners : For a mess-free crockpot insert try using slow cooker liners when making this candy.
Scooping Tip : Once you stir in the 1 cup of m&m's, into the warmed melted chocolate peanut mixture, they will melt fairly quickly so its' important to work quickly to scoop the candy onto the parchment paper. Have your parchment paper ready to go, either on the countertop or line a cookie sheet with it, and use a 3 tablespoon cookie scoop in order to speed up the process of scooping.

Leftovers : Store the candy at room temperature, in an airtight container, for up to 5 days. You can also store the candy in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
