Cranberry Punch (Non-Alcoholic Punch Recipe)

You can never have too many punch recipes! I love mixing up this simple citrus cranberry punch especially for Holiday dinners like Thanksgiving and Christmas. There is no alcohol in this punch which makes it perfect for guests of all ages.

Citrus flavors shine through with fresh orange slices, lime slices, pineapple juice, and orange juice. Citrus and cranberry are meant to be together with the frozen cranberries, cranberry juice, and the ginger ale to balance it all out and give this punch that sparkling fizzy effect.

Ingredients Needed

  • Ginger Ale – Use any ginger ale you want. I have seen ginger ale with cranberry in it and that would be yummy. You can use full sugar or zero sugar ginger ale. Either one works great.
  • Cranberry Juice – You can find this in the juice aisle at the grocery store or in the refrigerated area with the other cold juices. There are lots of variations of cranberry juice so switch it up and try something different if you want to. I like to use a good quality cranberry juice like the Simply Cranberry Juice (from the Simply juice brand).
  • Pineapple Juice
  • Orange Juice – I always use pulp-free and that’s what I recommend using so that you don’t have that pulp texture inside this punch. I always recommend using a good brand of orange juice like Simply orange or Tropicana.
  • Frozen Cranberries – You can buy these frozen sometimes in the freezer section or buy a bag of fresh cranberries and throw it in the freezer a couple days before making the drink.
  • Lime & Orange Slices

Cranberry Punch FAQ’s

  • Serving Suggestions

    • I do not recommend adding ice to the drink dispenser or punch bowl. Rather, have the cups filled with ice or an ice maker that people can fill their cups with before pouring a serving of punch in it.
    • You can also set aside some of the garnishes so that people can garnish their cup of punch if wanted. Have extra slices of limes, oranges, and some frozen cranberries. If you’re serving this inside a punch bowl with a ladle, people can scoop up some garnishes for their serving if wanted, so there may not be a need for extra garnishes if using a punch bowl.
  • Can I Make This Ahead of Time?

    • For the best fizz and ‘sparkling’ punch I recommend making it right before serving it. As the punch sits out, it will decrease in the fizz and start to taste flat. Of course that will take 1-2 hours, so you should be fine during the time of dinner or a party.
    • It’s so simple to dump everything in that I have never found a reason to prepare it ahead of time.
  • How To Store Leftover Punch

    • Store Leftover punch inside a juice container or pitcher, inside the fridge, for 3-4 days.
  • Can I Spike This Punch?

    • Yes, you can make this a tipsy punch with alcohol if wanted. Try adding a full bottle of Prosecco or 1 cup of Vodka if wanted.
  • Garnish Ideas for Punch

    • Frozen Cranberries : These are must! They make the drink cold and act as ice, without the melting into water aspect of ice, and they look really pretty. You can buy frozen cranberries or buy a bag of fresh cranberries and put them in the freezer.
    • Lime Slices : The lime slices give this cranberry punch some citrus flavor that combined well with the pineapple juice.
    • Orange Slices : Orange + Lime is a delicious combo. Feel free to only use one or use both for a fun citrus flavor to the cranberry and ginger flavors.
  • Substitution & Variation Ideas

    • There are several ways you can switch this punch up with different juices and soda. Here are a few ideas and things that I have tried that have worked well.
      • Sprite or 7-up : Try using Sprite or 7-up instead of ginger ale.
      • Zero Sugar Soda : Whenever I use soda (like ginger ale or Sprite) in punch recipes I usually always use the ‘zero sugar’ version of it. Feel free to use the full sugar or zero sugar, either one works great in punch recipes.
      • Orange Juice : There are lots of variations of orange juice. You can use orange juice with pineapple juice or try a tropical juice.
      • Pineapple Juice : Just like the orange juice, there are also lots of flavor variations of pineapple juice too. You can use pineapple juice from the can, the carton of juice, or from a jug.
      • Cranberry Juice : This is probably the easiest thing to switch up when you make this. There is cran-pineapple juice, cran-raspberry juice, cran-apple juice. Any of them will work great and the flavor will change slightly deepening on which one you use. I most often just use regular cranberry juice. I like to use the Simply Cranberry Juice when I make this punch.

Recipe Tips

Here are a few of my helpful tips so that you can have success recreating this punch recipe in your own kitchen ♥

  • Don’t Add Ice : I do not recommend adding ice into the punch bowl or pitcher that you are using to store the punch for serving. The ice will melt very quickly and water it down, which will make it taste bland. The recipe calls for frozen cranberries as a garnish and I highly suggest using them because not only do they make the punch pretty, but they act as ice (without melting into water) to keep the punch bowl cold. As people get a cup of punch they can add ice to their cup.
  • Cold Drinks : Make sure that the cranberry juice, pineapple juice, ginger ale, and orange juice are all chilled (very cold) before adding them into the punch bowl or drink dispenser for serving.
  • Prepare Right Before Serving : For the best fizz and sparkling drink, prepare this punch right before serving it. As the drink sits out the fizz from the ginger ale will settle and it won’t be as ‘sparkling’ as time goes on.

Make this Cranberry Punch for the Holidays! A sparkling tropical punch with cranberry juice, pineapple juice, orange juice, and ginger ale. Slices of fresh oranges and limes, along with cranberries garnish this beverage which makes it so pretty to serve at parties and one cup is never enough! No alcohol in this punch so everyone can drink it at the dinner table.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups ginger ale
  • 6 cups cranberry juice
  • 2 cups pineapple juice
  • 2 cups orange juice

Garnishes

  • frozen cranberries
  • lime slices
  • orange slices

Instructions

  • * Make sure all the drinks are chilled before making the punch. Either buy frozen cranberries or buy a bag of fresh cranberries and stick them in the freezer 1-2 days ahead of time.
  • Pour the ginger ale, cranberry juice, pineapple juice, and orange juice into a 2 gallon drink dispenser or punch bowl.
    * Recipes makes 1 gallon which is equal to 16 cups + the garnishes, it's best to use a 1.5 gallon or 2 gallon drink dispenser, bowl, or pitcher.
  • Stir it gently to combine. Add the frozen cranberries, lime slices, and orange slices to the punch.
    * Add as much, or as little, of the garnishes as you prefer.
  • Serve! I recommend adding ice to the cups rather than inside the punch. Ice will water it down pretty quickly, which can change the taste of the punch.

Notes

Ginger Ale : Zero sugar or regular sugar ginger ale both work great. Use whichever you prefer. You can also switch it out for Sprite or 7-up. They make a Holiday Sprite with cranberry that would be yummy too.
More Servings : This punch easily doubles if serving a crowd. Simply double every punch ingredient. Garnishes can stay the same.
Variations : Feel free to switch up the cranberry juice for some of the flavor variations (cran-apple, cran-raspberry, cran-pineapple, etc). You can use pineapple juice from the can or jug found in the juice aisle, or in the refrigerated sections with the other cold juices. Try using orange juice with pineapple juice in it for more pineapple/citrus flavor.
Frozen Cranberries : Sometimes you can buy these already frozen, if not, just buy a bag of fresh cranberries and throw the bag into the freezer 1-2 days ahead of time. Don't skip the frozen cranberries! They act as ice without watering down the drink when they thaw/melt.
