Simple Ingredients Needed For Crispy Chicken Caesar Wraps

  1. Frozen Breaded Crispy Chicken Strips – Use your favorite frozen crispy chicken strips for this wrap recipe. Chicken strips or chicken nuggets can all be used – make sure that you are using a crispy version that is breaded. Cook in the oven or in the air fryer according to package directions.
  2. Caesar Salad Kit – This is the bag of salad mix that comes with crisp lettuce, parmesan cheese, croutons, caesar dressing, and a black pepper seasoning blend packet inside the bag. Combine everything together (like you would if you were serving it for dinner) inside a bowl until it’s mixed well.
  3. 12-Inch Large Flour Tortillas – These are the larger sized burrito style tortillas. Use your favorite wrap; carb counter for a low-carb wrap, spinach wrap, tomato basil wraps, gluten-free tortilla, or your preferred wrap.

How To Make Chicken Caesar Wraps (Printable Recipe Card Below)

Cook the frozen chicken strips according to the directions on the packaging. Use either the oven or the air fryer for best results. I love using the air fryer because it gets the chicken really nice and crispy all around. When it’s done, cut the chicken into small bite-sized pieces.

In a large bowl, prepare the caesar salad kit and mix it well to combine. When the chicken is done, toss in the chicken pieces and mix to combine.

Can I Make Wraps Ahead of Time?

I do not recommend making these ahead of time because the lettuce will get soggy. I suggest making these right before serving them for the best results. If you don’t mind a softer lettuce then you could keep leftovers but not for more than 24 hours.

What Can I Use If I Can’t Find The Caesar Salad Kit?

Make your own by combining shredded lettuce, or chopped romaine lettuce, along with Caesar salad dressing and parmesan cheese inside a large mixing bowl. Add whatever other seasoning you want like a pinch of kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, basil, oregano, etc.

The salad kits are very easily found in the produce section right beside the the bagged salad mixes. Use a regular salad kit or the chopped salad kit.

Recipe Tips

  • Store-Bought Dressing : If you want the wraps creamier, with more dressing, simply add some store-bought caesar salad dressing into the salad mix OR spread some dressing all over the tortilla before filling it with the wrap mixture.
  • Chicken : I find it easiest to use frozen crispy chicken strips but there are lots of other options. Use leftover chicken from a previous meal or leftover rotisserie chicken. You can also grill some chicken breasts and cut them into strips or chunks for the wraps. You can also use frozen grilled chicken strips or ready-to-use cooked chicken chunks as well. Or try using some refrigerated fajita-style chicken strips for the wraps. Lots of options here, just make sure it’s cooked and ready to eat when you add it into the wrap.
  • Flavor Additions : Add some halved cherry tomatoes into the wraps. Add additional freshly grated parmesan cheese to the caesar salad mix. Add a splash of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Use greek yogurt for more creaminess without all the fat of mayonnaise. Add dried seasonings such as garlic powder, basil, parsley, or Italian seasoning to amp the flavor up. Add a smear of dijon mustard onto the tortilla. Add some cooked crispy bacon or turkey bacon to the wraps.

Notes

Salad Kit : These are easily found in the refrigerated produce section alongside the other bagged salad mixes. There is also a bacon caesar salad kit that would be delicious as well. The bagged salad mixes typically come with the lettuce and then smaller individually sealed bags of parmesan cheese, seasoning blend, croutons, and salad dressing. I usually don’t use all the black pepper seasoning blend included (but use as much or as little as you prefer).
Store-Bought Dressing Tip : If you want the wraps creamier, with more dressing, simply add some store-bought caesar salad dressing into the salad mix OR spread some dressing all over the tortilla before filling it with the wrap mixture. I actually always spread some caesar salad dressing all over the tortilla (before adding the chicken salad mix) and it helps the wrap filling stay in the tortilla and stick to it.

You can also grill some chicken breasts and cut them into strips or chunks for the wraps. You can also use frozen grilled chicken strips or ready-to-use cooked chicken chunks as well.
