Peeps S’mores Dip (A Cute Easter Dessert!)
I am always creating fun and cute holiday themed treats! It’s one of my very favorite things to do in the kitchen. Easter treats are the best because of all the colorful pastel colors and fun variety of candy in bunny and egg shapes.
This easy 2 ingredient s’mores dip could not be simpler to make and it’s a colorful treat and a fun twist to classic s’mores. All the same ingredients – chocolate and marshmallows – but in a fun, oven baked dessert dip with peeps marshmallows, chocolate chips, and graham crackers for dipping.
Only 2 Ingredients Needed To Make It
- Chocolate Chips : You can use milk chocolate chips, semi-sweet chocolate chips, dark chocolate chips, or a mix of chocolate chips! It really depends on what sweetness level you prefer and/or what chocolate chip you prefer. I use milk chocolate chips but my daughter loves this with half milk chocolate chips + half dark chocolate chips.
- Peeps Marshmallow Bunnies : I recommend using a variety of colors to make the dip look really colorful and festive.
How To Make S’mores Dip With Easter Marshmallow Peeps (Printable Recipe Card)
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
In an 8-inch oven-safe skillet or square baking dish, evenly spread out the chocolate chips across the bottom to form a thick layer.
Arrange the Peeps on top of the chocolate chips in a single layer, ensuring they cover the entire surface.
Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the chocolate is very melted and the Peeps bunnies are golden and puffed.
Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly (about 2-3 minutes). Serve immediately with graham crackers for dipping. Enjoy!
How To Store Leftovers
While this is best enjoyed fresh from the oven, any leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. You can also cover the baking dish with plastic wrap or a lid for storage.
To reheat, place the dish in a 300 degree F oven for 5-7 minutes or microwave in 15-second intervals until warm.
Make Ahead Instructions : Assemble the chocolate chip and Peeps Layers ahead of time, cover with foil, and refrigerate for up to 24 hours. Bake just before serving for best results.
Serving Suggestions
While graham crackers are a must (hello s’mores) there are a few other dippers that you can serve this with. Nilla wafers, pretzels, or fresh fruit are all great serving ideas.
Plan on serving this dip immediately after baking it – that way the chocolate is melted, warmed, and gooey and the marshmallows are soft & puffy.
