Festive Holiday Punch Recipe

This delicious holiday punch recipe, also called Thanksgiving punch in my family, is something the whole family can drink because it contains no alcohol!

It’s a yummy, fruity, & bubbly drink that’s perfect for the holiday season! I am thinking Christmas dinner, Christmas parties, Thanksgiving dinner, or a New Year’s Eve party.

Full of sweet, tart, and warm holiday flavors such as cranberry juice cocktail, pineapple juice, orange juice, sparkling ginger ale soda, and topped off with fresh cranberries and fresh orange slices for that festive touch.

Ingredients Needed For The Perfect Holiday Punch

  1. Cranberry Juice Cocktail : You can find this chilled in the refrigerated juice are of the store, or find it at room temperature in the juice aisle. I prefer using Simply brand of cranberry juice when I make this easy holiday punch recipe.
  2. Pineapple Juice : Buy this chilled or in the juice aisle. The brand simply juice makes a chilled version or buy the can of pineapple juice in the juice aisle from the Dole brand. I would make sure you are using a 100% pineapple juice drink.
  3. Orange Juice
  4. Ginger Ale
  5. Fresh Orange : This is for garnish and it’s optional but I really recommend adding it, as it adds a festive, citrusy, and makes the drink look really festive and pretty.
  6. Fresh Cranberries : An optional garnish if wanted.

How To Store Leftovers of This Easy Christmas Punch Recipe

Leftovers can be stored in a covered pitcher, in the fridge, for up to 3 days. Please note that the leftover swill lose that bubbly fizzy taste the longer the drink sits in the fridge. If you’re wanting to prepare the drink ahead of time, do not add the ginger ale or the garnishes until right before serving.

Can I Make Any Substitutions?

An easy way to switch up this non-alcoholic punch recipe is by switching out the variety of cranberry juice and ginger ale. Here are some ideas to get you started. I don’t recommend swapping out the pineapple juice or orange juice.

  • Cranberry Juice : There are other varieties of cranberry juice such as cran-pineapple, cran-apple, or cran-pomegrante. Any of these options would work, however I prefer the 100% pure cranberry juice cocktail in this punch recipe.
  • Ginger Ale : You can use lemon lime soda such as 7-Up or Sprite. You can also substitute with some sparkling cider such as sparkling apple cider. For a no flavor bubbly carbonated addition you can also use club soda instead. Or try using a cranberry ginger ale to amp up the cranberry flavor in this holiday celebration punch recipe.
  • Orange Juice : You can use store-bought orange juice or buy a can of orange juice concentrate and prepare according to the directions. I like to use the ready-to-drink Simply Orange or Tropicana orange juice.

How Much Does This Punch Recipe Make?

This punch recipe makes 9 cups or a total of 2.25 quarts. One recipe of it is plenty for smaller gatherings. However, you can easily double, triple, or more the recipe if you need the drink for larger gatherings at your next holiday party. Just make sure you have a drink dispenser or punch bowl that is large enough to accommodate the amount of punch you’re making.

Tips For Making This Festive Punch

  1. Make Sure All The Juices & Soda Are Chilled : This is the #1 most important tip when making any punch recipe. Place the juices and ginger all in the fridge for at least 24 hours before making the punch. This ensures that it’s chilled for serving and it also prevents the ice from melting too quickly – which will dilute the punch with the excess water once the ice melts. Ice will melt much faster when it’s placed into a room temperature drink compared to being put into an already cold and chilled drink.
  2. Make The Punch Right Before Serving It : For the best fizz and bubbly taste, make the punch right before you are planning on serving it.
  3. Don’t Add Ice : Adding ice will dilute the fresh fruit juices and flavor pretty quickly. I recommend adding ice to the individual servings of the punch if wanted, instead of adding a ton of ice into the pitcher or punch bowl. I love ice in my drink but I know others don’t, so I leave the ice up to the person once they pour their cup of punch.
