So this pie has a funny story. We were having a church Christmas party and I had signed up to bring a salad, which by the way I brought this Bacon & Mandarin Broccoli Salad —> super delish and one of my faves! And I also signed up to bring a pie. I’ve been dreaming up this pie in my head. Do you ever do that? Where you create recipes in your head? Just me, ok 🙂 Well, I day-dream about food and recipes and this Oreo Cream Pie was born because of that!

Anyways, back to the funny story….. I thought that there is no way people want a cream pie in winter and especially for a Christmas party. People want a hearty & rich pecan pie or the traditional pumpkin pie. Long story short, I made the pie because it was no-bake and literally takes minutes to come together, and it was gone within like 5 minutes + it was the only dessert that was gone. So, needless to say this pie is really good and a crowd pleaser.

It’s so incredibly delicious and one of those recipes I love because it’s so easy to make!

Just a couple tips:

– Using fresh whipped cream is the ideal way to go with this pie. It will taste better. But if you need to or want to, you can substitute a tub (8 oz) of cool whip for the fresh whipped cream.

– I am all for homemade stuff but I’ll be honest with you and say that the store-bought Oreo crust is the best way to go for this. The store bought crust is firmer so it stays together better. I have tried it with a homemade Oreo crust, and while it’s good, it was crumbly and parts of the crust were thicker than the rest, so it was just really uneven.

– To make beating the heavy whipping cream easier, place your bowl and beaters into the freezer for 30 minutes prior to using. If you do this it cuts the beating time nearly in half. The stiff peaks will form within 2-3 minutes.

(no bake) Oreo Cream Pie

  • 1 store-bought Oreo pie crust
  • 1 cup heave whipping cream
  • 1 block (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 12 Oreo cookies, crushed
  • additional Oreo crumbs and whipped cream for garnish, optional

  1. In medium mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy {to avoid lumps make sure cream cheese is really soft or place in microwave for 15 seconds}.
  2. Add in vanilla extract and granulated sugar. Beat until combined.
  3. In separate bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form.
  4. Using a rubber spatula, pour the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture and gently mix together. Fold in the crushed Oreo cookies and combine.
  5. Dump into the pie crust and smooth the top.
  6. Refrigerate for 3-4 hours before serving.
  7. Before serving, garnish with additional whipped cream and crushed Oreos.

The only suggestion I would have is to melt some chocolate chips in the microwave and add it to the cream cheese/sugar mixture and mix well. I have never done it that way but I don’t see why it would not work. You would have to experiment with how much chocolate to add. I would start with melting 1/2-1 cup chocolate chips.
